Boom. Boom. Boom. Out Go the Lights

I was getting ready for a shoot Thursday afternoon when a really strong storm blew in and blew out the power. It’s incredible how dark and deafly quiet things get when the plug is pulled.

I took Kaly to the orthodontist today. She’s been in braces for pretty close to four years.
While I was in the waiting room, she popped out grinning the most beautiful smile. They had taken them off to do some readjusting. You could tell she was so proud. Her smile brightened an already sunny room.

Today is Kaly’s first day back to school.
Which means I have to wake up two hours earlier than I normally would in order to s/s/s and take her to school.
